Liza Maiska

Liza Maiska (Yelizaveta Kurbanmagomedova) was Born in Kyiv, Ukraine.In school, she studied piano and classical voice. In high school she used to be a host for all school concerts, acting as a solo performer at both municipal and national events and competitions.
In 2007 she graduated from the Kiev National University of Culture and Arts, the Institute of Film and Television, with a degree as “Speaker, radio and television host”. The acting skills were taught by the National Artist of Ukraine, Professor Vasyl Basha. Skills of the TV-host was conducted by the honored journalist of Ukraine Vasil Birzul.
In her student years she took part in vocal competitions and concerts as a solo performer. And participated few times in the National TV show “Our song”.
In 2004, she became a finalist of the “Miss Music” contest on the M1 music TV channel of Ukraine.
In 2005 - Elizaveta became the winner of the Ukrainian TV project “Star of the series will be me” and won the main role in the TV series “Wolf".

  • After graduation in 2007, she lived, worked and studied classical vocal in Budapest, and worked as a TV host in Hungary.
    From 2007 to 2010, Elizabeth worked on Ukrainian National wide Radio “Promin” hosting the show “Hello, Doctor!” As a moderator and editor.
    Since 2010, she’s hosted the author's program "Simple Truths" on the radio "Culture" of The National Radio company of Ukraine.
    In 2008, she became the News Host in the morning show on CITY - Ukrainian national wide TV-channel.
    Since 2011, She’s hosted the author's show "Kinofan" on the Ukrainian TV channel “Tonis”. In 2012, she continued her collaboration with “Tonis” for the "Morning espresso" show.
    In 2012 - aired on the First Ukrainian radio channel with the author's show "The Formula of Life".
    In 2014, Liza performed as an opera singer on the opera “Coriolanus” directed by famouse Ukrainian director Vlad Troitsky and his progect NOVA OPERAIn 2015, She’s continued her collaboration with Vlad Troitsky and NOVA OPERA formation. Liza became the author of the adaptation of the biblical text “The Book of Yov” for the opera “YOV”. Liza acted the main role – Voice.
    Now Liza Maiska acts in Ukrainian and International TV serials and movies.From 2023 she based in Paris, France.
